Daniel Muller is an Artificial Intelligence researcher, Economist, Engineer, Data Scientist, and industry practitioner. He received his PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Johannesburg, supervised by Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala. He holds a Master of Science in Information Management Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management (cum laude), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. His research interests are multi-disciplinary, and they include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Economics, and Data Science but not limited to these. His current research focuses on automated action planning, sequential decision-making and rationality in Artificial Intelligence and Economic Systems. His industrial experience was acquired in the defense and finance industries through engineering, Data Science, and R&D leadership positions. Currently, he serves as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer in the Fintech company BTB – Be The Bank. He achieved the Outstanding Leadership Award in the Money 2.0 Conference, a leadership seal of recognition that acknowledges creativity and innovation in the finance world.
